Norwegian ski jumpers are stepping up to support their World Cup winter budget by making personal financial contributions. On Tuesday, the Norwegian Ski Jumping Association announced that each athlete will donate 50,000 Norwegian Kroner, which is approximately 4,400 Euros.

Athlete spokesperson Johann André Forfang remarked, "We are not in an ideal financial situation, but we want to contribute to the sport planning that is necessary for successful winter performance." Forfang is one of the five athletes named in the Norwegian World Cup team for the upcoming season, alongside Halvor Egner Granerud, Marius Lindvik, and Robert Johansson.

Magnus Brevig, who took over as national coach in early July, expressed his enthusiasm: "We have selected an exciting team, and several had particularly promising results toward the end of last season." Brevig has taken the helm from Alexander Stöckl, the former Austrian coach who left following internal disagreements.

This collective financial contribution emphasizes the athletes' dedication to maintaining their competitive edge and resilience amid ongoing financial challenges, all while striving for a successful winter season.
