At the Nordic Ski World Championships in Trondheim, local star Johan Andre Forfang made a remarkable impact in the qualification round for the normal hill, setting a significant record with a leap of 106.5 meters. This impressive performance not only earned him the best spot of the day but also set a notable benchmark against renowned competitors, solidifying his status as a top contender.

Tschofenig commented on his jump, stating, "It was quite okay; I’m working on refining my performance."
Additionally, Stefan Kraft, who holds multiple titles, finished seventh with a jump of 101 meters, followed closely by Jan Hörl in eighth with 100 meters, marking a strong showing from the Austrian squad as a whole.
Expectations are high as they gear up for the competitions on Saturday at 17:00, where Austria will hope to showcase its strength on home ground.
