The Polish ski jumping team faced challenges during the World Cup events held in Sapporo, Japan, where only Anna Twardosz managed to qualify for the main competition. In the main event, Twardosz jumped a distance of 99.5 meters, placing her 37th overall. The competition highlighted the ongoing issues faced by Polish female ski jumpers as they struggle to earn points in the World Cup. Twardosz is currently the only Polish player to earn points in the current season, having accumulated just seven points in five competitions, ranking her 43rd overall in the standings. The top contender in women's ski jumping remains Katharina Schmid, who holds 811 points, enjoying a substantial lead over her competitors. The next events in the World Cup circuit will take place in Zao, where the jumpers will have the chance to improve their standings in individual and team competitions over the weekend.
