New Consequences in the WM Scandal: Another Name in Focus
In the context of the manipulation scandal surrounding Norway's ski jumpers during the Nordic World Championships in Trondheim, the FIS ethics committee has initiated an investigation. This announcement was made by the FIS on Sunday.
In addition to jumpers Marius Lindvik and Johann Andre Forfang, allegations have now also been leveled against Nordic combined athlete Jörgen Graabak regarding his disqualification during the team competition in Trondheim.
According to FIS statements, there is suspicion that the disqualified jumpers Lindvik and Forfang engaged in "illegal manipulation of equipment through the Norwegian team." Film footage has emerged suggesting manipulation actions involving the jumpers' suits.
In the case of Graabak, his spring result was annulled after it was revealed that he had used a non-compliant binding during equipment checks.
Now, the FIS will investigate "the circumstances of the presentation during the equipment control."
