Paweł Wąsek, the leading figure among the Polish ski jumpers, spoke to a Eurosport reporter following his 9th place finish at the World Cup competition in Lake Placid.
He described an incident that occurred at the start of the event which greatly annoyed him. According to Wąsek, a slight misunderstanding up on the jump was accountable for interrupting his rhythm, but he chose not to elaborate on the details.
Wąsek also mentioned that he had no issues with acclimatization in Lake Placid, enjoying good sleep and feeling refreshed. He contrasted this with his previous experiences in Japan, where he experienced difficulties. Together with his teammates from the USA, he is set to fly to Japan to compete in events in Sapporo, and although he suspects conditions there might be tougher, he remains confident after having a few days of acclimatization ahead of the competition.
