Media: the most important decision of the new coach of the Polish ski jumpers has been made

According to information from Interia Sport, Maciej Maciusiak has already chosen his assistant who will accompany him during preparations and on the coaching bench in this Olympic season. It is stated that Krzysztof Miętus will be taking on this role. Other members of the coaching staff have also been named.

On April 7, 2025, Maciej Maciusiak was confirmed to take over as head coach of the Polish ski jumpers after Thomas Thurnbichler announced his departure. Maciusiak emphasized the importance of having a strong team behind him to achieve their common goals.

Maciusiak had already selected his staff before making the final decision. Krzysztof Miętus is set to be his right hand in the coaching responsibilities. Those familiar with Miętus praise his extensive knowledge of ski jump equipment and techniques.

In addition, the team will feature individual coach for Kamil Stoch — Michal Doleżal, as well as service technician Maciej Kreczmer, physiotherapist Paweł Gurbisz, and sports doctor dr Aleksander Winiarski. There may also be a potential addition of prof. dr hab. Michał Wilk, who has previous experience training Polish jumpers.
