The Summer Grand Prix ski jumping event in Wisła Malinka is set to take place from September 13 to 15, with an impressive 47 athletes confirmed to participate. Among the eight Polish competitors representing the nation will be noted ski jumpers Kacper Juroszek, Maciej Kot, Dawid Kubacki, Adam Niżnik, Kamil Stoch, Paweł Wąsek, Jakub Wolny, and Aleksander Zniszczoł. It’s important to note that Piotr Żyła will not be joining due to his ongoing recovery from knee surgery.
Originally scheduled for August 17-18, the event was postponed due to a landslide that affected the jump hills. This year’s competitions will feature only male athletes, as the women’s events were canceled due to insufficient participation.
Weather forecasts predict rain for the event, but organizers remain optimistic, expecting that wind conditions will not disrupt the competition. Additionally, a community event is planned for the Friday before the competition, which will include presentations showcasing the top jumpers.
The event schedule features prologue sessions and preliminary rounds that will lead up to the thrilling main events, ensuring an exciting experience for both participants and spectators.
