In Lillehammer, Italy's Lisa Eder celebrated her first individual podium of the ski jumping season on Sunday, finishing third in the competition. This was a significant achievement for Eder as she outperformed expectations, surpassing two Germany's top jumpers, Katharina Schmid and Selina Freitag.

The event saw Austrian women athletes secure the top spots, with Jacqueline Seifriedsberger and Eva Pinkelnig close behind them, finishing seventh and eighth respectively. This marked Eder's second career podium in the World Cup after a prior third-place finish in Hinzenbach in 2022.

Reflecting on her success, Eder expressed joy about standing on the podium, particularly with family present to support her. However, she noted that a subpar jump the previous day marred her weekend performance. Having already achieved a podium in the mixed team event on Friday, Eder aimed to optimize her performance further in upcoming competitions, which will continue mid-December in Zhangjiakou, China.

The victory went to Schmid, marking her seventh win in Lillehammer and her sixteenth career World Cup victory, while the previous overall World Cup champion, Nika Prevc, came in at the eleventh spot this time.
