Terrible competition in Ga-Pa. Another blow came just after the Polish jump

The New Year’s competition for Polish athletes at the Four Hills Tournament in Garmisch-Partenkirchen started horribly. At one point, they occupied the three last positions in the first round. Subsequently, Aleksander Zniszczoł was disqualified.
Zniszczoł, who had been showing impressive form in the training series and the trial just before the main contest, was the best Polish jumper in the trial series, landing on 138 meters, which was the fourth best distance of that session. However, the hopes for the competition were dashed as he was found to have an illegal suit, resulting in his disqualification.
This meant that only four Polish jumpers remained in the New Year’s event - Dawid Kubacki, Jakub Wolny, Paweł Wąsek, and Piotr Żyła. Unfortunately, none of them showed impressive form during the trial series.
