In Engelberg, we were supposed to see nine Polish athletes, but the number of representatives has minimally decreased due to the injury of Pola Bełtowska, who sustained it by hitting a barrier during training!
Pola Bełtowska will not be able to participate in the event this weekend. Instead, Poland will be represented by Nicole Konderla, Natalia Słowik, and Anna Twardosz alongside the male athletes Kamil Stoch, Paweł Wąsek, Jakub Wolny, Aleksander Zniszczoł, and Piotr Żyła.
Pola suffered a knee injury during one of her training jumps at Wisła and will undergo further examinations this week as confirmed by the Polish Ski Association.
Following this unfortunate event, the remaining Polish athletes will look to deliver solid performances this weekend. Official training and qualifications are scheduled for Friday, followed by qualifying rounds and competitions on Saturday and Sunday.
