The trial series before the World Cup competition in Wisła ended catastrophically for Kamil Stoch, who achieved only 112 meters, making him the worst performer among the Poles. Only Jewhen Marusiak from Ukraine jumped shorter. In contrast, Aleksander Zniszczoł and Paweł Wąsek performed well, with Stefan Kraft taking the top spot in the trials.

Piotr Żyła sparked excitement among Polish fans by finishing seventh in the qualifications, jumping 130 meters. Six Polish jumpers qualified for the competition: Dawid Kubacki, Aleksander Zniszczoł, Kamil Stoch, Maciej Kot, Paweł Wąsek, and Jakub Wolny.

During the trial series, Żyła confirmed good form with a jump of 117.5 meters from a reduced take-off (beam number 16). However, Kot and Wolny could do no better than 113.5 meters, placing them towards the bottom of the standings. Stoch, jumping with even worse results, registered just 112 meters.

Despite starting from a lower beam (number 14), this could not excuse Stoch's performance as Kubacki and Zniszczoł followed with much better distances, landing at 124 and 130 meters respectively. Zniszczoł ultimately finished in 10th place, Wąsek was 12th, while Stoch placed 43rd in the trial series, which was won by Kraft at 128 meters from beam number 13. The competition is scheduled to begin at 15:05.
