Kamil Stoch, a leading Polish ski jumper, candidly discussed his experience right after the ski jumping competition in Ruka, where he finished in 14th place, marking his best result of the new season. He expressed his apprehension about whether he would last through the second series due to the challenging conditions that led to the competition being shortened.

Stoch noted, "After my jump, I was filled with worries about whether I would have enough for the second series. But we need to accept this with a smile and gratitude, and keep moving forward. I am glad that finally, something has changed. It was a lottery of conditions, but still. Besides that, I know what is happening and what I need to work on now,” he shared with Eurosport right after the event.

Despite not having the chance to replicate his jump in the second series after the competition was halted midway, Stoch and his teammates could still gain valuable World Cup points, which is a positive result especially after just one previous jump in the second series at the season opener in Lillehammer.
