Kamil Stoch Almost Retires: A Change of Heart

Kamil Stoch, a leading Polish ski jumper, almost stepped away from the sport after the last season. His decision to retire was practically made when a crucial conversation with his wife, Ewa Bilan-Stoch, changed everything. Despite planning for a long trip as a form of retirement, after an inspiring discussion on Easter Saturday, Stoch decided not to end his career.

Although Stoch had been facing challenges, including performance frustrations during the previous season, he realized his passion for jump would not allow him to close this chapter just yet. He is now preparing for the 2024/25 season with a newly assembled coaching team, which includes old acquaintances and specialists to help him achieve better results on the jump.
