Adrian Małysz, the President of the Polish Ski Association, comments on the beginning of the Ski Jumping World Cup season, noting that the Polish athletes are falling short of the best results. With no podium finishes in the first two weekends, he acknowledges that there is a lack of brilliance among the team, particularly affecting seasoned jumper Kamil Stoch.
Małysz mentions that Stoch seems to be under tremendous pressure, attempting various approaches in his jumps, which suggests he might be feeling the weight of expectations to return to form. Despite witnessing potential in younger athletes, the transition from training to competition continues to be a hurdle.
There are hopes as the competitions in Wisła approach, yet the group of leading Athletes manifests a significant gap compared to current top competitors. Małysz remains hopeful that the situation can improve throughout the season, reiterating that Polish ski jumping has great potential but is currently experiencing transitional challenges in performance.
