French ski jumper Joséphine Pagnier has made a triumphant return to form, finishing eighth in the second ski jumping event held in Villach, Austria, on Thursday. This marks a notable improvement for Pagnier, who had earlier secured 12th and 14th places in her previous competitions.

In the latest round, she delivered an impressive performance with her second jump, soaring to 90 meters and achieving 122.1 points. This jump allowed her to significantly improve upon her first-round score of 108.5 points, which was based on an 89-meter leap.

Despite this positive outcome, Pagnier trails behind the World Cup leader, Nika Prevc, by 83 points. Prevc clinched first place in the competition with a remarkable jump of 95 meters and a total of 275.6 points. She was followed closely by Eva Pinkelnig of Austria in second place and Nika Kriznar from Slovenia in third.

Looking ahead, the competitors are gearing up for their tour in Japan, with the first event scheduled to take place in Sapporo on January 13th.
