In ski jumping news, Joséphine Pagnier finished in 12th place at Oberstdorf, Germany, which marks her worst result of the season. Despite her performance, she remains atop the World Cup standings. The 21-year-old had been consistently finishing in the top 10 prior to this event, having secured her first victories in Lillehammer and Engelberg earlier in December.
During the qualification round, Pagnier jumped 120.5 meters but was unable to maintain that momentum, recording jumps of 121 and 112 meters in the competition. Austrian Eva Pinkelnig claimed the victory, followed by Canadian Abigail Strate in second place. Norway's Eirin Maria Kvandal and Austria's Jacqueline Seifriedsberger finished tied for third. Pagnier, who previously placed 7th in Garmisch-Partenkirchen, still leads the overall standings, followed closely by Prevc, who secured a fifth-place finish at Oberstdorf.
