Johann André Forfang Dominates at Willingen World Cup Event

Norwegian ski jumper Johann André Forfang delivered an outstanding performance at the World Cup event in Willingen, Germany, this Saturday. In an exhilarating display of skill, Forfang soared to new heights with a remarkable jump of 144 meters in the first round, followed by an even more impressive leap of 155.5 meters in the second round, shattering the previous hill record.

Forfang's efforts earned him a total of 252.7 points, placing him well ahead of Japan’s Ryoyu Kobayashi, who managed to clear 128 meters and 148 meters in his two attempts, finishing with a score of 221.7 points. Another Norwegian, Kristoffer Eriksen Sundal, claimed the third spot with jumps of 138 meters and 150 meters, for a total of 219.9 points.

On the French side, Valentin Foubert ended the competition in 44th place, despite making a notable advance from his 22nd position in the qualification rounds.
