Just over a week after a challenging jump at Wielka Krokiew, Kamil Stoch reached out to his fans through social media. "Athletes will certainly agree that rigorous training is preferable to a slow return to full fitness," the celebrated ski jumper shared. But that's not all he had to say.

"Rehabilitation is in progress. Athletes will surely agree that the hardest training is far better than a sluggish path to recovery. I am approaching both with complete professionalism and am optimistic that soon, I will be back on skis. Thank you all for your supportive messages and positive energy," Stoch posted on Instagram, alongside a picture from his rehabilitation sessions.

The three-time Olympic champion's unexpected break stems from the unfortunate incident at Wielka Krokiew. Less than two weeks ago, during a training session, Stoch landed awkwardly, resulting in a minor tear in the collateral ligament of his right knee.

Looking Ahead: Recovery Timeline

"Aside from that, the knee is overall fine. Kamil will initiate his rehabilitation as soon as the swelling subsides, and we estimate that his recovery will take about four weeks. We wish him the best and hope to see him back in top form soon," stated Alexander Stoeckl, director of ski jumping and Nordic combined.
