Huge misfortune! Polish jumper disqualified in Wisła. Here's why

Kacper Juroszek's unfortunate attempt at the World Cup qualifiers in Wisła left him without a proper standing. The 23-year-old jumper from Cieszyn managed a leap of only 107.5 meters, but was subsequently disqualified due to wearing a non-compliant outfit.

Thanks to hosting the event, the Polish team fielded as many as nine competitors. All eyes were particularly on Piotr Żyła, a three-time world champion who returned to competition after missing the first two weekends of the World Cup due to injury. Alongside him in the national lineup were also Andrzej Stękała and Juroszek.

In a disappointing outcome, Kacper Juroszek will likely forget this competition. Not only did he fail to qualify, but the news of his disqualification added insult to injury.

It is worth noting that FIS has introduced a limit on suits, which are now required to have special chips. Jumpers are prohibited from changing suits between series, and restrictions on rolled-up materials have been imposed to curb the enlargement of suits that typically becomes evident when on the take-off bar.
