Weather Woes: Grand Prix Organizers in Wisła Adapt to Heavy Rain

As heavy rain warnings sweep across several provinces in Poland, the organizers of the Summer Grand Prix in Wisła, including Andrzej Wąsowicz, are fielding numerous inquiries from eager fans about the event's status. With forecasts predicting intense rainfall due to a low-pressure system, estimates suggest that up to 200 liters of rain could fall per square meter.

In the face of these challenging weather conditions, the organizers remain optimistic that the competitions will proceed as scheduled throughout the weekend. They anticipate a respectable turnout of approximately 2,000 spectators, even with adverse weather looming. The ultimate decision regarding the competitions will be made by a jury, including notable figures like Sandro Pertile, who will evaluate the conditions to decide if it is safe to hold the events.

Should the rainfall disrupt the full schedule, the organizers are ready to adapt by reducing the number of series and potentially transforming the planned qualification rounds into a prologue to facilitate the competition’s continuation. The qualification rounds are set for Friday at 18:00, with the main events planned for Saturday and Sunday.

This situation highlights not only the logistical challenges of organizing events in unpredictable weather but also the enthusiasm and community support from fans eagerly awaiting the Grand Prix.
