The Great Return to the Ski Jumping Team! Thomas Thurnbichler Announces the Squad

Just a day after the ski jumpers' competition at the World Championship in traditional skiing, Thomas Thurnbichler announced the composition for the upcoming World Cup events. Kamil Stoch and Maciej Kot will join the squad for Raw Air, but the Austrian coach has left out Piotr Żyła. The competition will take place in Norway again.

*Polish team for the last World Cup events will consist of six athletes. This is thanks to Maciej Kot's good results in the Continental Cup, which increased the starting quota for the most important events. Thomas Thurnbichler has decided that an additional spot will be given to the one who earned it. Additionally, there is another change in the squad compared to what we observed at the World Championship.

Polish Team Composition for Raw Air

The Polish Ski Association announced that Kamil Stoch will replace Piotr Żyła in Raw Air, who watched the World Championship from his home. This is surprising, as Żyła has been regarded as an excellent jumper for many years, with the event to be held on a mammoth hill. The squad will also include Paweł Wąsek, Dawid Kubacki, Jakub Wolny, and Aleksander Zniszczoł.
