The Summer Grand Prix in Klingenthal is reaching its exciting conclusion, with the individual competition kicking off on Saturday, followed by a mixed team event on Sunday.
Paweł Wąsek, who leads the series, showcased his talent with an impressive training jump of 137.5 meters, securing the fourth highest score of the day. Meanwhile, Aleksander Zniszczol also performed well with a jump of 132 meters, while Dawid Kubacki and Jakub Wolny logged jumps of 120 meters and 119.5 meters respectively. Unfortunately, the second training round had to be canceled due to adverse wind conditions.
Wąsek is in a strong position to clinch the overall series victory, especially with Stefan Kraft, currently in second place, not competing. Alex Insam trails Wąsek by 24 points, while Jan Hoerl sits in fourth with a hefty 98-point deficit, making it highly unlikely for him to overtake Wąsek.
Qualifications are scheduled to commence at 19:00, leading into the trial series and competitions that will take place throughout the weekend.
Overall training results:
- 4th - Paweł Wąsek (137.5 m)
- 6th - Aleksander Zniszczol (132 m)
- 25th - Dawid Kubacki (120 m)
- 32nd - Jakub Wolny (119.5 m)
