Granerud won the second leg of the Four Hills Tournament in Garmisch-Partenkirchen, Germany, on January 1, 2023, after also winning the first leg in Oberstdorf. With a final jump of 142 meters, he scored 303.7 points, outpacing Slovenia's Anze Lanisek by 6 points and Poland's Dawid Kubacki by nearly 9 points.
