Great News for Ski Jumpers: No More €5,000 Fee

This summer, Norwegian national ski jumpers received troubling news from the Norwegian Ski Federation: they would each need to contribute €5,000 out of their own pockets to join the national team. Fortunately, this decision has been overturned.

A new sponsor, Bildeler.no, has stepped in to support the Norwegian jumpers. Thanks to this partnership, athletes will no longer face the €5,000 fee to remain part of the national team.

The initial financial burden was a response to budget constraints faced by the national ski jumping team. Frode Kittelsen, CEO of Bildeler.no, conveyed his passion for the sport, emphasizing the importance of providing financial support to these talented athletes.

In addition to securing sponsorship from Bildeler.no, the national ski jumping team has partnered with NPG Sport & Communication to bring in further sponsors and strengthen financial backing. Aarstein Aalbu, a prominent figure within the ski federation, highlighted the importance of establishing a stable financial foundation, which is crucial for the athletes to thrive in their sport.

As for the upcoming season, the men's team boasts standout athletes including Robert Johansson, Johann André Forfang, Halvor Egner Granerud, Marius Lindvik, and Kristoffer Eriksen Sundal. Meanwhile, the women's team will represent Norway with talents such as Eirin Maria Kvandal, Silje Opseth, Thea Minyan Bjørseth, and Anna Odine Strøm.
