Ski Jumping: Freitag Sixth in Qualification

Selina Freitag has raised her ambitions for the upcoming World Championships with a solid qualification round for the large hill event, finishing in sixth place with a jump of 123.0 meters. The favorite, Nika Prevc from Slovenia, topped the qualifiying list with an impressive jump of 138.5 meters.

All other German starters also made it through to Friday's competition (16:30 CET). Juliane Seyfarth ranked ninth, while Agnes Reisch and world champion Katharina Schmid tied for twelfth place.

Freitag has previously won silver on the normal hill and bronze with her team in Trondheim, boosting her confidence for this event.
