Four Hills Tournament: Anze Lanisek wins qualifications in Garmisch

The Slovenian Anze Lanisek won the qualification round of the second competition in the 2023 edition of the Four Hills Tournament this Sunday afternoon in Garmisch-Partenkirchen, Germany. The main event will take place on Monday.

Lanisek achieved the second-best jump in terms of distance (134 m) during the qualifications, behind Germany's Andreas Wellinger (139 m), but earned a higher score (140.5 against 139) than Wellinger, who had previously won the Oberstdorf competition two days prior. Austrian Manuel Fettner completed the top three with a jump of 132.5 m and a score of 135.1 points.

On the French side, Valentin Foubert (27th) will compete in Monday's event after a jump of 125.5 m. Young jumper Jules Chervet, celebrating his 20th birthday, narrowly missed qualifying for the next round, finishing in 52nd place with a jump of 117 m.
