Slovenian ski jumper Anze Lanisek claimed victory in the qualifications for the Innsbruck round of the Four Hills Tournament, continuing his impressive performance from the earlier event in Garmisch-Partenkirchen. He soared to a remarkable 134-meter jump, earning a score of 130.1 points, which placed him firmly ahead of Austria's Stefan Kraft, who managed a jump of 124.5 meters, and Japan's Ryoyu Kobayashi, who logged a jump of 129 meters.
The qualifications were notably affected by weather conditions, particularly strong and changing winds, which had a significant impact on the athletes' performances. Andreas Wellinger, currently sitting in second place overall, struggled with these conditions and finished in 15th place with a jump of only 119.5 meters.
Among the French competitors, Valentin Foubert secured a place in the finals with a 37th place finish, achieving a 115-meter jump. In contrast, young Jules Chervet faced challenges and landed in the last position with a jump of only 96 meters, thus failing to qualify for the next stage.
