Norwegian ski jumper Johann André Forfang secured a second place finish at the World Cup event in Willingen, Germany, following an impressive series of jumps. The athlete from Tromsø recorded a 147-meter jump on his first attempt, narrowly trailing Austrian Daniel Tschofenig before delivering a massive 152-meter leap in the final round. Tschofenig, who ultimately won the event with a 5.4-point advantage, had been just 5.6 points ahead after a 150-meter jump.
Forfang has been in strong form recently, recording three consecutive second-place finishes leading up to this competition. Although adverse conditions affected his performance on Saturday, he managed to register two solid jumps to finish fourth in the previous round. The World Cup season continues with upcoming events in Lake Placid (USA) and Sapporo (Japan), where Forfang will look to build on his podium success.
