Forfang Misses Victory in Oberstdorf

Johann André Forfang missed out on victory during the ski flying competition in Oberstdorf, landing in second place behind Timi Zajc. Forfang had an impressive first round jump, leading with a distance of 221.5 meters, giving him a 1.9 point lead over Zajc. However, during the final round, Zajc delivered a remarkable jump of 233 meters, while Forfang managed to jump 235 meters after being placed lower on the takeoff ramp but could not overcome the point deficit. In total, he finished 5.1 points behind Zajc, marking him 3.7 points ahead of teammate Domen Prevc, who secured third place. This outcome highlights Forfang's consistent performance as one of Norway's promising jumpers, contributing to the team's tally of three podium finishes this season.
