Aleksander Zniszczol dazzled with a jump of 144 m during the first training. However, he experienced a poor second attempt, landing at 116 m. Now, Thomas Thurnbichler has revealed to Interia that Zniszczol's second jump was almost skipped. "Even Maciek Maciusiak suggested it," he claims.
In the qualification, Zniszczol managed a jump of 132.5 m, placing 19th overall and will face Piotr Żyła in the knockout stage. Thurnbichler noted Zniszczol's excellent jump in the first training, utilizing favorable conditions. "He has a lot of potential to leverage at the take-off. This hill really suits him. Therefore, anything can happen in the competition regarding him," added Thurnbichler.
The competition is scheduled for January 6, 2025, with the trial series starting at 15:00 and the main event at 16:00. Live coverage will be available on Przegląd Sportowy Onet.
