Austria's ski jumpers remain a formidable force on the hills, especially during the Four Hills Tournament: On Saturday in Innsbruck, World Cup defending champion Stefan Kraft edged out last year's winner Jan Hörl by just 1.4 points, placing him firmly ahead of current tour leader Daniel Tschofenig.

Kraft's victory at Bergisel is particularly significant as it is his first win on this hill, and it also becomes his 45th World Cup triumph. With this win, he takes the lead in the overall standings, making him a strong candidate for the overall title which will culminate with the awarding of the "Goldene Adler" in Bischofshofen on January 6.

The scene was electrifying, with approximately 20,000 fans cheering for the competitors at the Bergisel, where past champions previously secured their victories. During the qualification round, last year's champion Hörl managed to secure the best jump at 134 meters, just ahead of Kraft and Tschofenig, with their jumps measuring 131.5m and 132.5m respectively. This event continues the Austrian team's successful streak, following another triple victory earlier in Oberstdorf.
