In the first series of the competition at the Titisee-Neustadt ski jump, Slovenian jumper Domen Prevc experienced a dramatic fall. He made a mistake during landing, crossing one ski over the other, and crashed down hard, hitting the landing slope. Medical services promptly attended to him, and while he was able to stand on his own, blood was visible on his face.

He managed to jump 129.5 meters and seemed poised to qualify for the second round, but his unfortunate landing error changed that outcome. Initially, the situation appeared very serious; however, Prevc eventually walked off the landing area with medical assistance. Moments later, he was seen examining his helmet on camera.

Commentator Igor Błachut remarked, "There are no visible marks, just a little scratch on the chin."

This marks the second fall for 25-year-old Prevc during the ongoing 2024/2025 season; he had a similar incident in the qualifiers for the Lillehammer competition.

Ultimately, as expected, Prevc did not advance to the second series and was classified at the bottom of the standings, while Pius Paschke led the first half of the competition after soaring to an impressive 144 meters.
