Domen Prevc Breaks World Ski Jumping Record
Domen Prevc has set a new world record in ski flying, with a remarkable distance of 254.5 meters achieved on March 30, 2025, at his home jump in Planica. This new record surpasses the previous mark of 253.5 meters set by Austrian Stefan Kraft back in March 2017 in Vikersund, Norway.
At just 25 years old, Prevc has also been part of numerous team successes, winning two world championships in ski flying. His latest achievement also highlights the Prevc family's dominance in the sport, as his brother Peter was the first to exceed the 250-meter mark back in 2015. Nika, their sister, also made headlines by setting a female world record just two weeks prior with a jump of 236.0 meters.
This leap cements the Prevc family’s impressive legacy in the realm of ski jumping, demonstrating their consistent high performances across genders and events.
