Dawid Kubacki has spoken about his career plans, which may surprise many fans of the experienced ski jumper. In an interview with Eurosport, he expressed that he does not look forward to retirement and hopes to continue competing alongside Piotr Żyła like legendary ski jumper Noriaki Kasai.

"I want to stay in this sport for as long as my health allows," said Kubacki, emphasizing his love for the sport and his reluctance to consider hanging up his skis. He mentioned that he would also consider coaching young athletes in the future. "After being in this sport for so long, I would have a chance to get involved in a coaching group and help the next generation succeed," he revealed.

Kubacki also touched on the unexpected turning point where he finished just behind 19-year-old Klemens Joniak in the Polish championships, and he acknowledged the need to quickly recover and focus on the upcoming winter season. He intends to address his plans in earnest before the start of the World Cup.

In his conversation, he humorously noted his uncertainty about being suited for commentating but acknowledged that he could envision a role in training, albeit not as the main coach initially, affirming that such a position requires experience.
