Dawid Kubacki triumphed in the trial series leading up to the Sunday competition of the Summer Grand Prix in Hinzenbach. However, his Polish teammates faced tougher challenges, finishing much further down the rankings. The main event is set to begin at 2 PM.
The competition kicked off in Hinzenbach on Saturday, with Daniel Tschofenig stealing the spotlight in his debut, joined on the podium by Andreas Wellinger and Jan Hoerl, who both finished significantly behind the leader.
Among the Polish contingent, Kubacki was the standout performer, finishing ninth in the earlier contest. In contrast, Paweł Wąsek, who had previously won two contests in Râsnov, managed only a 16th place finish, which nevertheless earned him the coveted yellow leader's vest of the Summer Grand Prix after Saturday's events. Jakub Wolny and Wąsek were unfortunately outside the top 20.
In the trial series that took place before Sunday’s main event, Kacper Juroszek kicked things off with a jump of 84 meters, landing him in 15th place. Kubacki, showcasing his prowess, soared to a remarkable 90 meters, clinching the top spot in the trial series.
Unfortunately, fellow countrymen Jakub Wolny and Paweł Wąsek finished lower, with Wąsek jumping 81.5 meters for 22nd place and Wolny at 82 meters in 28th.
The trial series standings showcased Kubacki, Wellinger, and Tschofenig at the top.
Stay tuned for the competition at 2 PM!
