Dawid Kubacki's Absence from Engelberg Confirmed

Dawid Kubacki is not on the roster for the World Cup competitions taking place next weekend in Engelberg. Alexander Stoeckl, the sports director, explained the background of this decision in a statement from PZN. He revealed that the jumper himself wanted to concentrate on training. "This is a wise choice on Dawid's part," he stated.
Kubacki's teammates going to Engelberg include Paweł Wąsek, Aleksander Zniszczoł, Jakub Wolny, Kamil Stoch, and Piotr Żyła. This decision follows Kubacki’s underwhelming performances in recent competitions, prompting the team to focus on training improvements.
"Last Sunday evening, the coaches had a meeting in Titisee-Neustadt. Together with Dawid, they decided that he wouldn't join the team in Engelberg. It’s a smart choice on his part. Now, he will work on his technique at the jump to be in better shape for the competitions later in the season. It's not yet determined when he will rejoin the team," Stoeckl commented, as cited by PZN.
"The most important thing is for him to have enough training sessions to implement necessary changes. Personally, I'm impressed with how our team approaches this challenge, and I am confident it will lead to better results and more joy for Dawid on the jump," he added.
