Ski Jumping: Daniel Tschofenig Wins the Second Stage of the Four Hills Tournament

Daniel Tschofenig triumphed in the second stage of the Four Hills Tournament held Wednesday in Garmisch-Partenkirchen, Germany.

The Austrian skier, aged 22, scored 298.9 points, edging out Gregor Deschwanden with 290.3 points and his compatriot Michael Hayböck, who recorded a new hill record with a jump of 145 meters.

With this success, Tschofenig claimed the top position in the overall standings with a total of 622.5 points, ahead of fellow Austrians Jan Hoerl and Stefan Kraft.

In the women’s category, Slovenian Nika Prevc, who had already won the previous day, claimed victory in the second and final competition of the Two Nights Tour, the female equivalent of the Four Hills Tournament.
