Polish ski fans are on edge as Kamil Stoch awaits medical evaluations following a troubling incident during a training session. According to his coach, Józef Jarząbek, Stoch felt significant knee pain after completing a jump. While an ambulance wasn’t called, it was evident that he was experiencing discomfort. The Polish Ski Association has confirmed that he is undergoing further diagnostics to evaluate any potential injury.
Stoch was gearing up for the new season alongside his personal coaching team and recently placed 16th in the Summer Grand Prix held in Wisla, with jump distances of 124 and 125 meters. However, due to the knee injury he sustained during a practice jump, the specifics of which remain unclear, he was not chosen to represent Poland in subsequent competitions.
His situation is cause for concern as he awaits an MRI scan to determine the extent of the injury. Coach Jarząbek observed that something "went wrong" with Stoch's knee during a nearly 150-meter jump, highlighting the importance of a professional medical assessment to fully understand the injury and plan future training accordingly.
