— We cannot afford to perform this poorly. We provided the team with all we could — says Adam Małysz, in an interview with Sport.pl, when asked about the poor results of Polish ski jumpers. He also points to upcoming contests that should bring a breakthrough. — We usually succeed there — he adds.

The recent competition in Ruka ended for Polish jumpers with the best results of the season. Dawid Kubacki finished 10th, Kamil Stoch 14th, and Paweł Wąsek 15th. However, it is hard to be overly optimistic.

At the Finnish hill, known for its capriciousness, strong winds made the competition somewhat of a lottery. Only one round was held, and given the current form of Polish jumpers, it is difficult to believe that if a second round were to be held, they would all finish the contest in similarly high positions. Therefore, Adam Małysz does not feel excessive satisfaction and, in fact, last week he gave the Polish team a score of "two".

— Coaches had told me after Lillehammer that what the athletes presented there was not reflective of their capabilities or current form. A significant improvement was expected in Ruka, but we saw that it was not fully visible in the end, especially on Saturday, except for one athlete. This hill has its own rules and it's hard to determine where we are. — he explained in a conversation with Jakub Balcerski, the president of the Polish Ski Association.

— I think it would be good if the breakthrough moment came at least in Engelberg. We always performed well there. For now, I do not know when we will conduct a more detailed analysis — Małysz added.
