Coach Thomas Thurnbichler Identifies Issue. But Improving in Kuusamo Won't Be Easy
The second stop of the World Cup is in Kuusamo, Finland. Following a disappointing season opener in Lillehammer, the Polish representatives aim to redeem themselves and provide fans with reasons for optimism. Coach Thomas Thurnbichler discussed the factors leading to the weaker jumps by the Polish athletes in Norway. However, Kuusamo is not the most favorable location for a comeback for the White and Reds.
Kamil Stoch, along with other Polish representatives, had disappointing results in Lillehammer. Thurnbichler has decided to make a change by substituting Jakub Wolny for Maciej Kot, who failed to score points in Norway. The team will also see the return of Kamil Stoch, Dawid Kubacki, Aleksander Zniszczoł, and Paweł Wąsek. The Rukatunturi venue has often posed problems for Polish athletes, particularly during times of less than optimal performance. Historically, even in good form, the team has been unable to secure victories here.
