Chaos in Norway After Scandal – New Coach Unaware of Appointment
There has been a communication chaos within the Norwegian Ski Federation. Two coaches, Magnus Brevig and Adrian Livelten, have been suspended due to their involvement in a suit manipulation scandal during the World Championships. Consequently, they have been removed from their positions, and with the next World Cup competition scheduled for March 13 in Oslo, there was little time for deliberation.
It has been announced that Bine Norcić will take on the role of Norway's coach. However, Norcić was completely unaware of this decision: "I know nothing about this; no one has talked to me. I don’t know how these arrangements came to be. I was previously sent home to Slovenia and plan to fly to the Continental Cup in Lahti," he told Jakub Balcerski from Sport.pl.
43-year-old Norcić had been working with the Norwegian B team prior to the scandal. He previously trained the national teams of the United States and Canada, served as an assistant in Turkey, and led Slovenia's B team.
