— In my opinion, this move will bring about the opposite effect than intended — says Dawid Kubacki just before the start of the new World Cup season in ski jumping regarding the FIS move about suits.

FIS (International Ski Federation) has decided to limit the number of suits that jumpers can use during World Cup competitions. During one weekend, only two suits will be allowed, and they cannot be changed during the competition phases.

— This is definitely not just a "cosmetic" move and in my opinion, it will have the opposite effect than intended. In theory, FIS wanted to produce fewer suits, but in reality, many more will likely be produced. This is because, before the so-called sealing for competitions, after which they must be used, teams will want to check as many suits as possible. For us, for the coaching staff, this is definitely not an advantage. It will require good tactical and organizational planning. The regulations can't be changed now, and we have to adapt to them — Kubacki says in an interview.

Preparations for this season looked different than in previous years. — The result was that we started very fatigued. The strength, technique, and results didn't match — as everyone could see — Kubacki states. However, he adds that he "has energy and feels freshness," which gives him a positive outlook for the new season.

Kubacki finished the last season in 28th place in the overall World Cup standings with 213 points, with the best Pole being Aleksander Zniszczoł (19th, 524 points). The new season begins on Friday, November 22, in Lillehammer, where two individual contests and one mixed team event will take place.
