The Ski Jumping World Cup has arrived in Wisła. This weekend, two individual competitions will take place. One has already concluded, with Daniel Tschofenig claiming victory. Unfortunately for Polish athletes, there was no breakthrough to celebrate, as Kamil Stoch landed in 33rd place, failing to advance to the second round. Meanwhile, Piotr Żyła also missed out despite having good qualifications.

The best Polish performer was Paweł Wąsek, finishing in 11th place, which isn't his best result this season. He was closely followed by Aleksander Zniszczoł in 16th place. Other Polish jumpers to earn points included Dawid Kubacki (25th) and Jakub Wolny (26th). Currently, Wąsek and Zniszczoł have emerged as the top contenders for Poland this season. The competition concluded with Tschofenig leading, followed by Gregor Deschwanden.

Reflecting on the overall standings of the World Cup after the competitions in Wisła:

  1. Pius Paschke - 376 points
  2. Daniel Tschofenig - 330 points
  3. Jan Hoerl - 286 points
  4. Paweł Wąsek - 66 points
  5. Aleksander Zniszczoł - 49 points
  6. Dawid Kubacki - 37 points
  7. Kamil Stoch - 25 points
  8. Jakub Wolny - 5 points

This raises concerns about Polish athletes' positions given that neither Piotr Żyła nor Kamil Stoch have registered any points so far this season. Kamil Stoch dropped from 27th to 29th in the overall classification after this event.
