Because of Munich! Austrians Must Replan
Originally published in SPORT1 on February 26, 2025
Austrian ski jumpers have had to alter their plans for the Nordic Ski World Championships in Trondheim due to a strike at Munich airport. Originally, the team had everything set for the championships, but the disruption meant that they now need to depart a day earlier than planned.
Stefan Kraft, an Olympic gold medalist, commented to the Kronen Zeitung: "We had already arranged our plan, and now everything is different," adding with a smile, "Maybe all of this will turn out for the best." With his extensive experience, he is confident in his ability to adapt quickly despite the challenges.
Trondheim will once again host the Nordic Ski World Championships, where 25 gold medals will be awarded across cross-country skiing, ski jumping, and the Nordic combined events over eleven days.
