Caution After Tour Dream Start of Our ÖSV Eagles

The ÖSV trio of Stefan Kraft, Jan Hörl, and Daniel Tschofenig dominated on Sunday at the kickoff of the Tournee in Oberstdorf. Coach Andreas Widhölzl is overjoyed, but also offers a warning about the forthcoming challenges.

Widhölzl remarked, "It's a cool starting position. Oberstdorf was a fantastic opener for us. Certainly, the confidence is high for everyone!"

However, he cautioned, "This was just the first step, with three more to come. The road to Bischofshofen is still long. Thus, it’s important to remain focused and keep the goal in sight."

Kraft holds a 3.5 point lead over Hörl and 11.5 over Tschofenig heading into Garmisch. The fourth-placed German, Pius Paschke, is 13.8 points behind. Kraft was the last Austrian to win the golden eagle of the Tour winner back in 2014/15 at just 21 years old.
