After the ski jumping competition in Wisła, Aleksander Zniszczoł appeared to be in discomfort. However, his explanation for the pain put many at ease—"My back hurts but it's just from overworking. It hurts when I jump well," he chuckled. At his home venue, he made significant progress toward the top ranks.
Zniszczoł ended the weekend finishing 16th and 12th, marking his highest placements this winter. He is known for effectively utilizing favorable winds during jumps, and this season has demonstrated that he can deliver strong performances even in challenging conditions.
He mentioned, “I’m pleased with today’s jumps, particularly my technique at the take-off. My leg was working well, and my timing was good. Sure, I struggled a bit with the telemark because my landing cost me a spot in the top ten. Despite the lack of tailwind, I showed that I can compete even under such conditions.”
Looking forward to the next competition in Titisee-Neustadt, Zniszczoł shared his enthusiasm, stating, “I’ve always enjoyed that jump because it’s fast. It’s a big, flying hill, so I hope it goes well.”
