Adam Małysz is planning to return to the ski jump, and it's not a joke. The President of the Polish Ski Association has confirmed that Małysz intends to make his first jump since retiring over 13 years ago. This jump will take place on a mobile ski jump created as part of an initiative by the Polish Ski Association and the Ministry of Sports and Tourism. The project aims to promote Polish sports, particularly among children. Małysz stated, "I can't imagine not jumping on it," during an interview with Sport.pl.
Małysz last jumped on March 26, 2011, at his benefit event at Wielka Krokiew in Zakopane, where he made a only short jump due to difficult conditions. Now, over a decade later, he will return to the ski jump, although it does not signal a comeback in his professional career. Since March 2011, he has not completed any jumps, only performing simulations. However, he is excited to try out the new mobile ski jump which will allow children to experience the sport firsthand.
The mobile ski jump will travel across Poland starting October 30 in Bielsko-Biała, then going to Wrocław on November 7, Szczecin on November 10, Warsaw on November 16, Wisła on December 7, and ending in Kraków on December 18.
