The 73rd Four Hills Tournament is shifting to Austria as Polish ski jumpers face challenges. After two competitions in Germany, Austrian Daniel Tschofenig leads the World Cup standings with 796 points. Polish jumper Paweł Wąsek is currently ranked 15th with 182 points. Andrzej Wąsowicz, the president of the Silesian-Beski Ski Association, recommends that Adam Małysz should engage in discussions with athletes to help enhance their performance.

Andrzej Wąsowicz stated, "The president seems to be heading to Austria on Friday morning. I think he should sit down with the athletes and listen to their concerns on what’s going on here. Secondly, he should meet with the coaching staff."

Wąsowicz highlighted the negative atmosphere within the team affecting overall performance, emphasizing that he does not support sudden changes during competitions. He added, "Fans cannot expect a quick turnaround in results from the Polish team; however, perhaps this breakthrough is yet to come."

Lack of backup and equipment issues

Wąsowicz agrees that theoretically, the composition of the Polish team should be altered for the Austrian section of the Tournament, but the lack of suitable replacement athletes makes this impossible. "At this moment, we do not have the necessary backup to allow someone else to compete in the World Cup. This is why the composition remains unchanged," he evaluated.

An additional issue is the disqualification of Aleksander Zniszczoł due to a non-compliant suit during the Garmisch-Partenkirchen competitions. "This isn’t the first such case this season regarding Polish athletes, yet we supposedly have the best specialists in equipment preparation. Something is off here," remarked Wąsowicz.
