Jan-Erik Aalbu has officially been appointed as the new ski jumping manager for the Norwegian Ski Federation (NSF). He steps into this key role following the departure of Clas Brede Bråthen, who dedicated 20 years to the position.

Stine Korsen, the chair of the jumping committee, confirmed Aalbu's appointment in an interview with NRK, which was subsequently supported by an official press release issued later that Friday.

"Jan-Erik Aalbu possesses all the qualities we consider essential for our success," Korsen remarked. "His unique expertise, coupled with extensive experience in both the sporting and commercial facets of the discipline, made him our top choice for this role."

Aalbu's previous experience includes serving as the head of ski jumping and Nordic combined from 2002 to 2004. During his tenure, notable achievements were made, including Sigurd Pettersen's victory in the Four Hills Tournament overall and Roar Ljøkelsøy securing gold at the ski flying World Championships.
