In a stunning showcase of talent and determination, Norwegian athlete Jarl Magnus Riiber triumphed at the Nordic Combined World Championships in Planica, Slovenia, clinching his third consecutive individual world title.
Facing off in the small hill event, Riiber decisively outperformed his opponents, claiming a straightforward victory over German skier Julian Schmid and Austrian competitor Franz-Josef Rehrl. Not far behind them, Laurent Muhlethaler from France secured 12th place.
Although Japanese ski jumper Ryota Yamamoto was close on his heels following the jump, Riiber swiftly established his dominance in the 10 km cross-country section, pulling away from the pack, which had started with staggered time intervals. Schmid showcased a powerful finish to grab the second spot, while Rehrl rounded out the podium in third place.
Additional notable performances came from the French contingent, with Marco Heinis finishing 24th, and Gaël Blondeau and Matteo Baud finishing in 26th and 30th places respectively.
